Daniel Borgia : Academic Dean

Dr. Daniel Borgia is the Academic Dean. Previously, Dr. Borgia was Dean of the school of business at Canisius College in New

York, Associate Dean of the school of business at the University of Idaho and Associate Dean at Nottingham University

Business School in China. From 1997 to 2010, Dr. Borgia was a professor of finance at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU).

During that period, Dr. Borgia was a China Fulbright Scholar at Nanjing University, founding Director of the FGCU Institute of

Chinese Studies, founding Director of the Southwest Florida Chinese Language School, Vice President of the Southwest Florida

Chinese Association, and Vice President of the Speaker's Assembly of Southwest Florida. Dr. Borgia received a B.S. in Business

Management from Cornell University in 1981, an MBA from Gannon University in 1986, and a Ph.D. in Finance and International

Business from Kent State University in 1991. Dr. Borgia has a broad publication record, writing on topics that include

international business and finance with reference to China, working capital financing, entrepreneurial finance, and financial

education.

Stephen McCullough:Associate Prof. of History

Dr. Stephen McCullough is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico. He received his BA and MA in history from New Mexico

State University. He earned a PhD in history from the University of Alabama. He is the author of The Caribbean Policy of the

Ulysses S. Grant Administration: Foreshadowing an Informal Empire (Lexington Books, 2018).

He is currently working on a manuscript on the United States and the Nigerian Civil War, 1966-1970. He previously taught at

Mississippi University for Women, University of Indianapolis, Ball State University, and Lincoln University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. McCullough is a member of the American Historical Association and the Society of Historians for American Foreign

Relations.

Jie (Jay) Wu : Associate Prof. of Maths

I earned B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Central South University, China in 1989, and M.S. degree in Economics from

Zhejiang University, China in 1992. From 2001 to 2006 at Louisiana State University (LSU), I studied in the area of Probability

and Stochastic Analysis and earned my Ph.D. with a dissertation about Limit Theorem for Weighted Stochastic Systems. For 15

years I have been teaching mathematics and statistics at LSU, Thiel College and Grove City College. From 2008 to 2018 I have

been directing the Actuarial Studies major program at Thiel College, and was honored with Distinguished Teacher Award by

Thiel College in 2014.

Patrick Behar : Associate of Prof. of Management

Patrick Behar-Courtois is an Associate Professor of Management at Bryant University. He received a Bachelor of Business

Administration from the Franco-American Institute of Management in Paris (France), a Master of Business Administration from

the University of Newcastle Business School (UK) and is currently completing his PhD with the ICN Business School (France).

His research interests cover organizational behavior, quantitative psychology and job embeddedness. Patrick is also a visiting

aculty with the Sino-European Institute of Technology, a joint program created by Shanghai University and the French

Universities of Technology, part of the prestigious Sorbonne Universities alliance. Prior to Joining BITZH-BU Programs, Patrick

lectured leadership, Management, Human Resources Management, Business Ethics, Design Thinking, and Cross-cultural

Management at several leading Chinese and international universities: EM Lyon, France Business School, European

Communication School, Skema Business School, Tongji University, East China Normal University, Beijing Normal University,

Jiaotong University, and others. In addition to his academic life, Patrick has over 20 years of international management

consulting experience. As an Organizational Development expert, he has consulted for a large number of Fortune 500

organizations, the United Nations system, and several Governments, helping them through successful change and

performance improvement. Patrick holds several additional professional certifications in leadership facilitation, personality

testing and executive coaching.

E.HAFFNER : Associate Prof. of Literature

Dr. Haffner did his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on literature

and popular film from the perspective of first generation Frankfurt School critical theory and psychoanalysis.

Lijuan Meng: Associate Prof. of Global Study

Dr.  Lijuan Meng is an Associate Professor of of Global Studies .

She received her Ph. D in intercultural studies from Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson MS (2005), and MA in Christian

Education from Calvin Theological Seminary, Grand Rapids MI (1999).   In addition, she attended Great Lakes Christian college

from 1996 to 1997 majoring in Christian Education. She earned BA in English from Harbin Railway Engineering Institute – Harbin,

China (1988). Dr. Lijuan Meng Joined Bryant Zhuhai in the fall of 2016.  Prior to Bryant Zhuhai, she taught both at Grove City

College , Grove City PA from 2009 to 2016 and  Providence Christian College , Ontario CA, from 2006-2009 .  Besides teaching

Global Studies, She was also teaching  Modern China, Chinese film, and introduction to Chinese civilization at GCC, she also

taught Biblical Revelation, World Religions, Cross-Cultural Communication, International Manners a  Mores...as well at PCC.

Dr. Lijuan Meng is currently a member of Association of Chinese Professors of Social Science and Humanities in the US and

serve as a board member and director of public relations for ACPSS

Lyn Wu : Associate Prof. of Economics

Dr. Lyn Wu obtained Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University and Ph.D. in Agricultural

Economics from University of Florida, in 1980s. He worked for many years in US financial industry in different capacities,

mainly in the area of derivatives research. He has taught economics, finance and econometrics in US universities and taught

economics in China.

Kevin Tian : Letcure in Accounting

I graduated with an Honours Degree in Accounting from Curtin University in 2000 with a dissertation on accounting education.

I subsequently completed my Masters of Commerce (Accounting) program from Curtin University in 2004. I am currently a

Certified Practising Accountant with CPA Australia, a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants Australia (IPA)and a Fellow

Financial Accountant with the Institute of Financial Accountants UK (IFA). I also possess a Certificate IV in Training and

Assessment with Churchill Education.

Abeer Abdelmoneim Ahmed : Assistant Prof. of Accounting

Abeer Mohamed obtained her PhD in 2010 from the Business School, University of Gloucestershire, UK. She is currently

Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Commerce, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. She has a special interest in Strategic
Management Accounting. She has list of publications in international refereed Journals.  She has over 25 years’ experience in

Jeremy Parker:Assistant Prof. of Legal Study and Literature

This is Professor Parker's first year teaching at BITZH-BU Programs, but his fourth year teaching in China, and fifth year in

teaching. Previously he taught at Fort  Hays State University China program at Sias International University in Henan province.

His speciality is law, but he's also taught economics, math, management, strategy, ethics, and literature courses. In 2012 he

graduated with a Juris Doctorate(JD) degree from Indiana University, Indianapolis, and in 2005 graduated with a Bachelor of

Arts degree in Economics from the University of Michigan.

Yiyang Li : Assistant Prof. of English

Nine years teaching experience of English writing taught Yiyang that writing is a form of craftsmanship and to teach writing is

to teach the discipline and the skill set that are necessary for not only better language organization but also refined critical

thinking. The essence of Yiyang’s teaching, professional and research experience is about intersecting liberal arts and

science, and educating cross-cultural skills in a community of diversity.

also worked as a financial analyst at HSBC. She began teaching in 2016.

Ashraf M. Ismail : Associate Prof. of Economics

Ashraf Ismail received his PhD from Cornell University in 2008.

His Thesis consists of a game theoretic model wherein money is endogenous to the banking sector, and monetary policy is

represented as a bargaining process between the Central Bank and financial institutions.

His current research focuses on corporate diversification, credit risk, and game theoretic models of strategic equity trading.

He has published in the Review of Financial Economics and has recently submitted an article to the Journal of Corporate

Finance . Prior to joining here , he taught at Georgetown University, Marist College, Seton Hall University, and

several other univerisities I the US and across the world. He also served as Senior Associate in Risk Modeling at KPMG, where

he critically evaluated the credit risk models of the worlds' largest banks for stress testing by the Federal Reserve Bank of the

United States.

Antony Lake : Associate Prof. of Literature

Dr.Anthony Lake BA(Sussex) MA (York) D.Phil.(Sussex)

Anthony is Associate Professor of English and Cultural Studies here , He has taught at universities in China, the United Kingdom,

Turkey, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.bHe has two areas of teaching expertise. The first is in English Literature with

particular emphasis on English Literature of the Twentieth Century. The second is in foundational level undergraduate, courses

in Composition and Rhetoric, Writing and Research, Spoken Communication, and Critical Thinking. His areas pf research

interest are crime and detective fiction and Holocaust, Literary Modernism and the literature of the post-World War Two

period from 1945 to 1980.

Petulia Blake : Assistant Prof. of Management

Dr. Blake is Assistant Professor of Management. Since 2010, she has been creativity teaching management courses on-ground,

online and in hybrid classrooms. Professor Blake has acquired over 10 years of work experience within for-profit and

non-for-profit organizations in the United States. She conducts research in corporate sustainability and social responsibility

with a focus on management and leadership. Dr.Blake has earned her doctoral degree from Indiana State University, a

master's degree from Central Connecticut State University and bachelor of arts degree from Bates College. Professor Blake is

a  native of the Island of Jamaica and citizen of United States of America. She possesses a passion for cultures and diverse

human experiences , and for this reason, has travelled to more than 30 countries to motivate, present, teach , and consult.

Dr. Blake is also a creative writer with the published novel, "In the Midst of Shame."

Rachael M. Rudolph : Assistant Prof. of social science

Rachael M. Rudolph joins here as an Assistant Professor of Social Science in fall 2018.  She previously taught at Webster

University’s Thailand campus, Emory & Henry College in Emory, Virginia, and West Virginia University in Morgantown, West

Virginia.  The courses she will teach at Bryant will be supplemented with her professional and travel experiences.  Her published
