ACE has been actively working on connecting peer tutors with professors this semester. Last week the writing tutors met with the writing faculty and discussed ways to collaborate and exchange information in order to support the needs of our students.
Our working hours are:
Mondays through Thursdays: 9:00am- 9:00pm
Fridays: 9:00am-4:00pm
Biography Gallery: New Faces at Bryant Zhuhai – Section C
The freshmen have worked diligently on writing their biographies during the ZhELI program. Come to ACE and check out the Biography Gallery of all the students from Section C. You will be surprised to see how much new information you can find about your peers.
Struggling with understanding your professors in class?
The majority of the students that did the iTEP test had difficulties with listening. Here are a few suggestions on improving your listening skills. Check the links below and listen to as many podcasts and talks as you can.
1. Listen to audiobooks and famous speeches.
2. Listen to English podcasts and TED talks. Try listening to the same thing many times to see how much you can understand each time. Take notes while listening and then try to write down or tell someone else the main idea, the details, and the implications of what you listened to.
Here are some links to audiobooks and speeches and other listening resources:

3. Watch American TV shows without Chinese subtitles! In fact, you should watch
without English subtitles too. You can watch a TV show with your friends and then talk about it in English.
